Body and Display.

The first thing I usually take note of when it comes to the design of smartphone successors is how distinct they are from their antecedents. The Infinix Zero X genuinely has a pass mark in this particular segment. We can distinguish its concept from that of the Zero 8.

Next, I will try to judge if it’s a better-looking design. Well, generally, it may vary according to each person’s preferences. However, I individually love the design Infinix is offering this time around. To me, it is very much better than what they offered on the previous device.

One of the key design features I love is the flat sides, which sort of reminds me of the iPhone 12. Due to the fact that it is a device that also bears flat sides.

A trip to the rear reveals one of the aesthetically pleasing rear cover designs to have come out from Infinix stables. This truth actually governs for fanatics that will opt for the Nebula black color option. On which you will find a gradient black design and white dots mimicking the galaxy.

Also on the rear is an elongated square camera module with 3 cameras and an LED flash. You will also find the Infinix branding, which shows it’s an Infinix smartphone.

Turning the phone around reveals a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole camera placed in the top-middle spot, as opposed to the dual-camera cut-out fitted on the top right corner of the Zero 8.

Making a comparison of display dimensions reveals the Zero 8 possesses a bigger display at 6.85, that being said the simple fact that the Zero X display is based on an AMOLED panel as opposed to the IPS TFT panel on the former and also the fact that it sports a 120Hz refresh rate, in place of 90Hz gives it an edge.

The Cameras.

Proceeding to optics, the Infinix Zero X may not be an overall champ, when it is compared to the Zero 8, but it does an 8MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom capability, a camera that was not on the rear camera setup of the former.

The other cameras on the rear include an 8MP UltraWide lens featuring an aperture of f/3.4 and a 120 ˚ field of view. Finally, we have a 64MP primary lens which has an aperture of f/1.9. Video recording here is capped at 4k @ 60fps.

On the selfie side, we have a single 16MP in contrast to the dual-camera (48MP + 8MP) seen on the Zero 8. This 16MP camera has the ability to shoot videos up to 1080p @ 30fps.

Hardware and Software.

On the efficiency side, the Infinix Zero X sports the MediaTek Helio G95 processor chip, which may be counted as an improvement over the Helio G90T processor chip on its predecessor.

What’s more, we get the Mali-G76 MC4 GPU, 8GB RAM, 128GB inbuilt storage, and a non-removable 4500mAh which are exactly the same as what was featured on the Zero 8. However, the Zero X features 45W fast charging, in place of the 33W fast charging mechanism on its antecedent.

On the software program side, the Infinix Zero X operates the XOS 7.6 graphical user interface on top of the Android 11 operating system.

Connectivity.

The Infinix Zero X sports a USB Type-c slot, a 3.5 mm headset port, Bluetooth, and WiFi/ Hotspot.

The Net connection here is capped at 4G, which implies enthusiasts won’t get the extravagance of 5G speeds.

Infinix Zero X Price and Availability.
Infinix Zero X Price in Nigeria starts around 151,000 Naira, which converts to approximately $367 in the United States of America, 40,417 KSH in Kenya, and 2,196 GHC in Ghana.

The launch date of the Infinix Zero X was on the 13 of September 2021 and was released in October 2021.
