The Sony Xperia 1 II is a gorgeous device and is the latest smartphone from Sony at the time of writing this article. The Phone has been announced since February but wasn’t released until May 2020. It is a 6.5-inches device with some of the coolest features we have around. Features include the Snapdragon 865 chip, quad rear camera setup, 8GB of RAM, wireless charging etc. In short, this phone is a flagship device.
The Sony Xperia 1 II is an upgrade to the Sony Xperia 1 which was released back in May 2019 – a year earlier. Both phones have a lot in common. This includes the size and display features. It could be argued that they have the same display.
While the New device is valued at around the same price as the iPhone 11 Pro Max, the Old one is valued around the same price as the iPhone 11. Now, that’s saying something. However, we’ll be dropping their comparison in a few weeks time. So, you might want to stay tuned to this website.

Sony Xperia 1 II Price
It’s really tempting to want this phone; seeing that it packs a lot of astonishing features. As tempting as it is though, getting it may prove a little bit stressful (if not impossible) for a large number of people. And it’s not only because of the price.
The Xperia 1 II is currently not available in Nigeria. Not only Nigeria but Africa as a whole. Sony announced back in 2019 that they were pulling out of certain countries and only focusing on a few some. Their new focus markets only include Japan, Europe, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
If you’re hell bent on getting this device though, simply head over to Amazon and look for one with global unlock. Then, you face the price. The Xperia 1 II goes for about USD1,200. That’s NGN510,000 in Nigeria minus USD200 shipping fee to get it across. That’s another NGN85,000. In total, we’re talking close to NGN600,000.
The exchanges from dollar to naira above were made with NGN425 per dollar. ’cause that’s how much you’ll be charged. The shipping fee is also a guess but the assumption was made based on the shipping fee on other Sony products. And that is all.
