Tecno Spark Power 2 Review and Price in Nigeria

The Tecno Spark Power 2, also known as Pouvoir 4 Pro is currently Tecno’s latest spark power (Pouvoir) device and it’s made for no other thing than what’s found in its name – POWER. This phone is not very big on specs. True. In fact, I think the phone is made only to rival Infinix’s Hot 9 Play; seeing as they have many things in common.

An added advantage to its being an entry-level device is the price. Since the Spark Power 2 isn’t big on specs, it also won’t be big on cash. Two thing this phone has in abundance are battery which is a whopping 6,000 mAh built-in battery and size – standing at 7.0 inches.

The Review

First, we talk about the design. While Tecno’s phones are okay, they’re yet to get to that stage where they produce phones made of glass face and glass behind. Hence the plastic and glass combination found on this phone. You know where’s made of glass and where isn’t. However, it could also be that they do not want to produce phones with the former build – yet.

Spark Power 2

The display featured on the Tecno Spark power 2 is not one we haven’t seen. In fact, we’ve seen it on multiple phones like the Camon 15, Hot 8, Hot 9 and many others. Therefore I won’t spend time analysing it.

As usual, this phone comes with a MediaTek chip – the Helio P22 precisely. It is supported by an Octa-Core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 ARM CPU and PowerVR GE8320 GPU. This Spark phone features similar specs with the Hot 9 Play. However, the platform isn’t one of them.

This smartphone doesn’t come in multiple variants. Therefore, we only have a single phone to deal with and it features 64GB ROM and 4GB RAM. The Hot 9 Play on the other hand has multiple variants.

Since the current standard for a smartphone is a combination of multiple lenses as the main camera, Tecno installed 4 lenses on the Spark Power 2 in a vertical arrangement aligned to the top-left. This camera setup may not be the best around but it’ll surely satisfy your needs.

The rear camera features a 16MP wide lens as the main camera. It is then supported by a 5MP ultra-wide lens for macro shots, a 2MP lens as the depth sensor and a QVGA lens which is commonly dubbed AI sensor. The front-facing camera isn’t bad either, at 16MP.

The Tecno Spark 2 power follows right in the footsteps of its predecessors by featuring a large battery – 6000 mAh. The battery capacity however, is not the only deal. The 18W fast charge was advertised to charge up to 50% in 1 hour. While that may be too good to be true, one sure thing is the fact that this phone cannot come without a fast charge tech.

The Spark Power 2 is a dual sim phone and which supports nano sims only. The memory is expandable by means of a memory card through a dedicated slot. It sports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac. The Bluetooth version is 5.0 and the phone weighs a whopping 220 grams. That’s a bit heavy bit it’s because of the big battery.

Spark Power 2 Price in Nigeria

At the time of writing this article, the Tecno Spark Power 2 is not yet available in Nigeria. However, considering the phone’s features, I put it between NGN50,000 to NGN60,000.
